Several players have been linked with Newcastle over the last few days.

The January transfer window is edging ever closer and, especially when their current form is taken into consideration, Newcastle’s squad is in need of improvement.
Casillas, part of Spain’s 2010 World Cup winning side, has lost his place in the Porto team, having been on the bench for the club’s last five league games.
Benitez recently reinstated Karl Darlow in the side in place of Rob Elliot, but it appears that the club are considering bringing in another goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are also targeting Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris, as reported by O Jogo.
Samaris was heavily linked with a switch to St James’ Park in the summer transfer window but the deal failed to materialise and he stayed at Benfica, for whom he has been used sparingly this season.

One player who could soon be on his way out of Newcastle is Aleksandar Mitrovic, with the striker open to a return to Anderlecht, as reported by Chronicle Live.
Mitrovic has been unable to command a regular place in the Newcastle starting line-up so far this season and it would come as little surprise if he was to depart.
Newcastle are considering making an offer for Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues, as reported by Fotomac, with the Cape Verde international capable of playing on either flank.
