A look at today’s Premier League fixture including team news.
The big decision in todays match between Newcastle and West Ham will surround whether or not Magpies boss Alan Pardew, will decide to recall Yohan Cabaye.
Cabaye who was subject to a bid from Arsenal last week was left out of Monday’s defeat at Manchester City, and without him the side looked unable to retain possession or move the ball freely.
A red card in the game with City means that Steven Taylor is suspended, whilst Pardew’s already depleted squad also sees Cheick Tiote facing a late fitness test on his groin, and Jonas Gutierrez and Loic Remy definitely missing out.
West Ham remain without injured striker Andy Carroll and George McCartney, but its not all bad news for the hammers as there could be a debuts for Razvan Rat and former Liverpool man, Stewart Downing.
Carroll who scored 31 times in 80 appearances at Newcastle before his £35million move to Liverpool would have been keen to face his old club, but heel injury means that the man who made West Ham his team after a successful loan period last season will watch from the stands.
Another former Magpie who will feature however is Kevin Nolan who spent just under three seasons in the North-East and scored the winner in this fixture last year.
