Aston Villa have been linked with the Newcastle United talent, but is it the right move for him?

According to The Mirror’s live Transfer Blog on Monday, December 4, Aston Villa are interested in signing Newcastle United’s Rolando Aarons in January.
The 22-year-old winger hasn’t started a game for Newcastle since August and although Rafael Benitez is seemingly a fan, he may be powerless to prevent the young talent from leaving.
Aarons, according to The Mirror, is also wanted by Crystal Palace but surely he should snub a move to Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa.

Bruce has the best left winger in the Championship in Albert Adomah, who has netted 10 times in 13 starts for the Villans – including five in his last four games – and Aarons would merely find himself in the exact same situation, albeit at a different club.
At his age, he really needs regular football in the short term but joining Aston Villa would be a long-term move because Adomah, at 29, isn’t going anywhere for the moment.

There are plenty of other clubs in the Championship who could do with a player of Aaron’s abilities and it should be a club where first-team chances are abundant.
Villa Park is not that location for now.
