West Bromwich Albion are said to be keen to sign Dwight Gayle from Newcastle United.

Newcastle have loaned Gayle to West Brom this season, and the striker has been in wonderful form at the Hawthorns.
Gayle has netted 21 league goals since moving to the Baggies, and Albion are now keen to buy him off Newcastle.
However, their chances may be scuppered, as Newcastle have found another way to use Gayle.
Newcastle want Fulham’s Tom Cairney, and they are set to propose a trade deal with the Cottagers.
Rafael Benitez’s side are said to be prepared to offer Gayle to Fulham in exchange for Cairney.

The London side have taken note of Gayle’s form at West Brom and now are keen for him to be their number nine next term, as they look to bounce straight back from relegation.
And if West Brom do end up missing out on Gayle now it will have to be seen as a major blow to the Baggies’ summer transfer plans.
