Newcastle United are said to be in competition with Deportivo La Coruna for Arsenal forward Lucas Perez’s signature.
Adrian Lopez has officially been announced as a Deportivo La Coruna player and that could boost Newcastle United’s chances of landing Arsenal forward Lucas Perez this summer.
Perez has had great success in La Liga previously, and Depor are keen to bring him back to Spain.

However, Pepe Mel’s side moved for Adrian Lopez last night, which may suggest that they have conceded defeat.
Lopez is a striker and looks likely to lead the line at the Abanca-Riazor Stadium next season.
If Depor have dropped out of the race for Perez, it could only be good news for Newcastle – who are keen to bring the Arsenal striker to St. James’ Park.
Perez struggled for game time with the Gunners last season, but Rafael Benitez saw enough to suggest he could be a valuable addition to Newcastle’s team.
If Perez did sign for Newcastle he would be competing with the likes of Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic for a first-team place.
