Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez enjoyed a fine run of form towards the end of last season, and Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side are keen.

Tottenham Hotspur target Ayoze Perez has admitted to the Shields Gazette that he could leave Newcastle United this summer.
Perez enjoyed a wonderful end to the campaign, where he showed his goalscoring prowess at Newcastle, and interest has been rising in the striker, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side keen.
And the striker’s comments suggest that he could indeed leave St. James’ Park, which will surely put Spurs on red alert.
“It’s something that I cannot say right now. You cannot guarantee it,” Perez said, when asked if he’d be at Newcastle next term.
“We’ll see. It’s going to be a long summer. Obviously, there’s going to be a day where you make a decision. It depends on many things. Let’s see what happens. Obviously, this place is always going to be in my heart, whatever happens. We’ll see what happens.”

Perez may have to wait until any move away from Newcastle is sanctioned as the club are not participating in transfer deals.
With Rafael Benitez’s future not yet sorted, Newcastle have shied away from making any notable transfers this summer.
If Perez was to leave for Tottenham it would be a major blow to the Magpies, as it would decimate their attack from last season.
Salomon Rondon and Perez had formed a good partnership up-front at Newcastle, but that could be entirely broken up this summer.
