Aleksandar Mitrovic has not featured much for Newcastle United so far this season.

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has admitted to the Shields Gazette that he is still not fit enough.
Mitrovic was selected to start for Newcastle in their latest fixture against Queens Park Rangers, and he impressed during his side’s 6-0 triumph.
The powerful Serbian got on the scoresheet during the rout, but Mitrovic insists that there is more to come from him this season.

“I think you could see from the game that I am still not 100% there,” said the Serbia international,” he said.
“Physically, my fitness is still not quite at the best level, where I want it to be. I still need a couple more games to get my best level back. I will get there though.
“Some guys have played six or seven games, this was just my second game of the season and by the end, it was getting harder and harder to run.
“I just need to keep working hard, and then every game will be better and better.”

Mitrovic has rarely featured this season, after missing the first four games through suspension.
There is fierce competition for places at Newcastle, with Rafael Benitez having a wealth of riches to pick from up-front.
The additions of Daryl Murphy and Dwight Gayle have improved Newcastle’s attacking options, and Mitrovic will need to be at his very best if he is to retain his place.
Newcastle are next in action at the weekend against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and they will be looking to take their winning run to six matches in the fixture.
