Newcastle United have been linked with Chelsea youngster Kenedy in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United are set to miss out on Chelsea youngster Kenedy, according to The Northern Echo.
It has been reported that Kenedy, who can operate as a winger or as a left-back, is one of Newcastle’s leading targets in the January transfer window.

However, according to the report, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is increasingly inclined to retain the services of the Brazilian youngster for the rest of the season.
The Northern Echo has claimed that Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez tried to sign the former Fluminense man on loan from Chelsea in the summer of 2017 as well.

It seems that Benitez is set to miss out on Kenedy for the second time, and perhaps the Newcastle manager should now try looking at alternatives as there is still time left for him to sign players this month.
The versatility of Kenedy would have been very crucial for Newcastle, who are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
