Newcastle United will surely feel justified over not taking Liverpool up on their offer of Daniel Sturridge, after his display at St. James’ Park yesterday.

Sturridge was handed a rare start for Liverpool against Newcastle, but he failed to impress.

And Newcastle will surely view his display as vindication of not making a move for Sturridge in the summer transfer window.
