Newcastle United linked with Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah
The report has claimed that there is interest in Chalobah, who can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, from Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Fulham as well.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich wanted to sign the 24-year-old in the summer of 2023 and remain keen on him.
Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel worked with Chalobah at Chelsea and is a big fan of him.
90min has added that Chalobah himself is ready to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
My View: Newcastle United could struggle to sign Trevoh Chalobah
In my opinion, Newcastle United may not find it easy to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
There are two main reasons for this.

The first reason is that Chelsea may not be willing to sell Chalobah to Newcastle.
Newcastle are a renewed force in the Premier League and are now going to compete for the top four on a regular basis, and perhaps even challenge for the title in the coming years.
Why would Chelsea sell the 24-year-old to a ‘direct’ rival?
The second reason is that Bayern Munich clearly have the upperhand.
Bayern are a bigger club than Newcastle, regularly win the Bundesliga title, and compete for the UEFA Champions League.
And, they have Tuchel in charge who knows Chalobah and wants him at the Allianz Arena.
I believe that Chalobah would pick Bayern over Newcastle.
