Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff has said that he plans to stay at the club next season amid speculation that Manchester United want him.
According to The Sun, Premier League giants United are interested in signing Longstaff from Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
The Chronicle quotes Longstaff as saying: “I’m massively flattered to have my name even mentioned in those conversations but like I said, I’m 100% focused on Newcastle and trying to get fit and get back in the team here.”

Longstaff is a very good and promising young midfielder, and he is a future star for Newcastle.
The 21-year-old midfielder showed this season what he is capable of, and his performances for Rafael Benitez’s side were very good.

Newcastle have been linked with Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the summer transfer window.
According to The Chronicle, the Magpies are interested in signing the defensive midfielder.
It has been reported that Newcastle scouts watched the 24-year-old in action during his loan spell at AC Milan.
Bakayoko’s agent and brother, Abdoulaye, has suggested that the midfielder will stay at Chelsea next season.
Abdoulaye told L’Equipe, as translated by The Mirror: “There are some pretty interested clubs, quite big clubs that have enquired but we give priority to Chelsea.
”We already know there is the Champions League [at Chelsea] and we are looking for stability. Tiemoue has decided to stay there.”
