Newcastle United transfer news: Reported interest in Seko Fofana, Joselu exit

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Seko Fofana, while Joselu is claimed to be leaving for Alaves.

Seko Fofana interest

According to Calciomercato.it, Newcastle United are interested in signing Seko Fofana from Udinese in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Newcastle have shown the most concrete interest in the 24-year-old midfielder.

Spanish club Sevilla and Italian outfit AC Milan are also claimed to be interested in the Ivory Coast international midfielder.

Fofana started his professional club football career at Manchester City, but the 24-year-old failed to break into the Citizens’ starting lineup.

After loan spells at Fulham and Bastia, the midfielder joined Udinese on a permanent contract in 2016.

According to WhoScored, during the 2018-19 campaign, Fofana made 31 appearances in Serie A for Udinese, scoring two goals and providing four assists in the process.

Joselu departure

According to Marca, Joselu is set to join Spanish club Alaves from Premier League outfit Newcastle in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the 29-year-old striker will sign a three-year contract with the La Liga outfit.

The report has claimed that Newcastle will be paid a transfer fee of €2 million )£1.78m) for the Spanish striker, who will take a pay-cut.
