Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United want to sign Armando Broja from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The Northern Echo.
Newcastle United keen on Chelsea striker Armando Broja
The report has claimed that Newcastle have now made a formal inquiry to Premier League rivals Chelsea about signing Albania international striker Broja.
The Magpies have made the approach for Broja, who spent last season on loan at Southampton from Chelsea, after failing to persuade fellow striker Hugo Ekitike to leave Reims for St. James’ Park this summer.
The Northern Echo have reported that Chelsea will listen to offers for Broja, adding that West Ham United have also expressed their interest in the 20-year-old, described as “clinical” by Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer on Premier League’s YouTube channel in February 2022.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Newcastle United may have to pay over the odds for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.
Leeds United and Everton have also been linked with the Albanian along with West Ham United, which means that Chelsea could make this a bidding war.
Broja made 21 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Southampton last season.
The striker scored six goals in those games.
