Newcastle United signed Joselu from Stoke City in the summer transfer window.

Joselu joined Newcastle from Stoke City in the summer transfer window, and he has had a mixed time on Tyneside so far.
The Spanish striker has broken straight into Rafael Benitez’s starting line-up, with his performances dividing opinion.

Joselu has been guilty of missing some absolute sitters in a Newcastle shirt, but his link-up play has impressed.
Joselu did score in Newcastle’s last match, which ended as a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
And the target-man centre-forward admits that he has been shocked by the support he has received from Newcastle fans.

“I have had people stop me and say ‘Thank you’ which is amazing to hear,” Joselu said. “They say we want players who work hard and I love hearing this. I work hard every week, in every training session to do my best on the pitch and at the weekend.
“If I score, that’s great but if it doesn’t work out with the goals then I will work hard to make sure it works well for other players in the team.”
Joselu looks likely to keep his place in Newcastle’s starting line-up for their next match after the international break.
Benitez’s side are in action on Saturday, when they travel to St. Mary’s to take on Southampton.
