Newcastle United are expected to gain promotion to the Premier League this season.
Speaking to reporters, Magpies midfielder Isaac Hayden shared how the entire squad have full confidence in their manager Rafa Benitez when it comes to selecting the right team to play every week, as quoted by the Chronicle.
Hayden, 21, moved to St James’ Park from Arsenal in the summer, and has gone on to be a key figure in the Spaniard’s side so far this term, making 24 Championship appearances.
And the former Gunner spoke to the media about the feel-good feeling currently emanating from the Newcastle setup, and how that stems from the players’ total and unconditional trust in their manager, as quoted by the Chronicle:

“I am sure that the player, every single one in that dressing room, trusts what the manager wants for the team and what he wants for the squad. He knows exactly what he is doing and I think that whatever team the manager picks the players are right behind him.”

The Tynside outfit currently hold a one point lead over Brighton & Hove Albion at the top of the Championship table, although they have played a game more than the Seagulls.
They now face a fantastic opportunity to cement their position at the Championship summit, however, with five of their next seven league games coming at St James’ Park, before they travel to the south coast to take on Chris Hughton’s men on February 28th.
