If Newcastle United can bring in Josh King, Aleksandr Golovin and Kenedy next season, as they are planning – then all of a sudden they will have an attack full of menace.

Newcastle are reportedly set to have funds to spend next summer, with Mike Ashley prepared to back Rafael Benitez to keep the Spanish boss at St. James’ Park.

And strengthening Newcastle’s attack appears to be at the very top of Benitez’s list of priorities.

Benitez wants to bring in a whole host players, and the potential additions linked already should excite Magpies fans.

The Sun have reported that Newcastle want to snap up King, while Golovin’s agent has confirmed to Sport.RU that Benitez’s side have made contact with the CSKA man.

Benitez has also gone on record to suggest that he would like to bring Kenedy back, and if Newcastle could complete the triple swoop, it would be huge.

With Kenedy, King and Golovin in their attack, Newcastle would have a fearsome offensive unit.

Kenedy has already proven his quality, during his loan spell with the Magpies, and King and Golovin would also be big upgrades on what Newcastle already have.

Golovin could offer Newcastle a great amount of creativity in the final third, with the attacking midfielder a wonderful passer, while King’s explosive pace would give Benitez a new outlet on the break.

And if Benitez does get given the funds to complete the three transfers, then winning trophies with Newcastle will suddenly not seem like an impossible task at St. James’ Park.
