Newcastle United brought in Emil Krafth over the summer and he has immediately been brought in Steve Bruce’s side.

Emil Krafth of Newcastle United warms up during the Premier League match between Newcastle United and Arsenal FC at St. James Park on August 11, 2019 in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.

Newcastle United new signing Emil Krafth has told the Shields Gazette that he has immediately noticed how open the squad is at St. James’ Park.

Krafth only moved to Newcastle towards the back end of the summer, but the Swedish defender has settled in well on Tyneside.

And Krafth feels that the friendly nature of Newcastle’s dressing room has benefitted him.

“It’s an open team,” the full-back said. “Everybody talks to everybody. That, for me, is how it’s supposed to be. We’re a team, and we do this together. Everybody should talk to everybody. That’s how I feel.”

Newcastle paid £5 million for Krafth (Shields Gazette), and he is showing signs that he could be a bargain.

The 25-year-old has looked very solid at the back, and he could prove to be excellent value for money.

Krafth is currently away with the Swedish national side, who face games against Norway and Malta in the coming days.

When Krafth does return to Newcastle, he looks likely to start in Steve Bruce’s side’s match against Liverpool at Anfield, which could be his toughest test yet.
