Leeds United fans want Thomas Christiansen to make a move for Newcastle United’s Dwight Gayle.

Ings has reportedly emerged on both of Newcastle’s and Leeds’ radars ahead of the January transfer window.
It seems likely that Ings will opt to move to St. James’ Park, if both clubs do come in for him.
Newcastle have the advantage of having Premier League football on offer, and the draw of working with a high profile manager in Rafael Benitez is a major pull for players.

Leeds would, of course, be disappointed to miss out on Ings – but it may make Dwight Gayle available.
If Ings arrives at Newcastle then Gayle’s place in Benitez’s squad looks even more precarious.
Gayle started as Newcastle’s main striker this season, but he has quickly dropped down the pecking order on Tyneside.
Leeds fans have begun to ask for Christiansen to make a move for Gayle, as reported by HITC, but at the moment a transfer looks unlikely.

Newcastle still need Gayle, as things stand, as he looks to be their main cover for Joselu.
However, if Ings was to arrive at St. James’ Park, that may just make Gayle expendable – and Leeds would be well placed to do a deal for the Magpies forward.
