Newcastle United are landing Shwan Jalal as the Stockport County goalkeeping coach prepares to reunite with boss Eddie Howe.
The Magpies have been making changes to their goalkeeping department of late.
On the pitch, Nick Pope came in from Burnley as both Freddie Woodman and Martin Dubravka were allowed to leave.
Off the pitch, Head of Goalkeeping Simon Smith left the club over the summer and was replaced by Adam Bartlett.
Newcastle are leaving no stone unturned though and are now set for another addition to their goalkeeping coaching ranks.

Newcastle United are landing Shwan Jalal
The Shields Gazette report that Stockport County’s goalkeeping coach Shwan Jalal is on the verge of a move to Newcastle.
Stockport have confirmed via Twitter that they have accepted an approach from an unnamed Premier League for Jalal.
Jalal will make his move on Monday, meaning he will stick with Stockport for their game against Salford City this weekend.
The 39-year-old started out with Tottenham Hotspur before turning out for the likes of Woking, Peterborough United and Morecambe.
Jalal then joined Bournemouth and worked under now-Newcastle boss Eddie Howe during his time there.
Transfermarkt make it 104 games Jalal played under Howe before going their separate ways.
Jalal moved on to Bury, Northampton Town, Macclesfield Town, Wrexham, Macclesfield again and Chesterfield before hanging up the gloves in 2020.
The Iraq-born stopper has since turned to coaching with Howe seemingly keeping a very close eye on his progress.
Jalal spoke highly of Howe earlier this year, telling World Football Index that he feels Howe is simply a ‘fantastic’ manager.
Jalal even claimed that Howe’s attention to detail is ‘unrivalled’ and loved working with him on a daily basis as a player.
It now looks like the pair are going to join forces once again with Jalal supporting Bartlett in coaching the Magpies’ stoppers.
