Chelsea are being linked with a move for Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles once again this week. The centre-back has been in fine form for the Magpies in recent weeks and the links with a new club are certainly not a surprise.
Chelsea will no doubt be looking to bring in Lascelles to be a long-term leader at the back for the club, in the mould of John Terry.

But Newcastle should surely stand strong, and make Lascelles their own Terry figure.

Newcastle need to start keeping hold of their better players if they are to build and remain in the Premier League for an extended period of time.
Lascelles is the type of player that can be built upon and if they can convince him to be a long-term lynchpin of the side then forget Chelsea getting their new John Terry, Newcastle could have one of their own.
