Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune has been linked with a move to Sevilla.

The Spanish club are said to be interested in signing Lejeune for £13 million, which simply isn’t an offer that Newcastle should even consider.
The French defender has formed a great partnership with Jamaal Lascelles this season, and selling either of the pair is surely not on Rafael Benitez’s to-do list this summer.

Lejeune is worth far more than £13 million in the modern market, so Newcastle should have no problems with rejecting the offer.
Benitez may have to raise funds to increase his budget for the summer, but selling Lejeune would be very ill-advised.

The centre-back looks set to become even stronger next season, after gaining a year’s worth of experience of playing in England.
And with Lascelles and Lejeune at the back, Newcastle have a very solid foundation to build their team around for the years ahead.
