Newcastle United are said to have big money to spend in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United should keep their eye on Celtic winger James Forrest, as a potential January signing.
And Celtic man Forrest would almost certainly not come cheaply, given his excellent run of form.
But if Newcastle do have over £20 million to spend, then they could well test Celtic’s powers of resolve.
Forrest could offer Newcastle everything they have been lacking over the first half of the season, if he was to arrive at St. James’ Park.
The Scottish wide-man commits defenders, and has blistering pace to frighten oppositions sides.

Crucially, Forrest also has a goal threat, and he has now hit 12 goals in his last 11 matches for club and country.
If Newcastle did sign Forrest then they would be buying an attacker right at the top of his game.
And although Celtic will be desperate to keep hold of the wide-man, once the riches of the Premier League come knocking, they have struggled to retain their key players before, which should give Newcastle hope that a deal could be done.
