With Aston Villa failing to win promotion to the Premier League, Robert Snodgrass’s future is up in the air, and Newcastle United would be wise to make a move for the West Ham United winger in the summer transfer window.

According to Wales Online, West Ham value Snodgrass at £12 million with Cardiff City interested in the former Leeds United star, and Newcastle should make an approach.

The 30-year-old is a very good winger who enjoyed quite a successful season on a personal level at Villa in the Championship in 2017-18, as he scored seven goals and provided 14 assists in 41 league starts for the Villans.

True, the Scotland international has failed to make a massive impact in the Premier League, but there is no doubt that the former Norwich City star has the potential and the talent to do so.

A transfer fee of £12m is not much these days, and Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez would be smart to make a move for the West Ham winger this summer.

Back in July 2017, Football.London claimed of the Magpies’ interest in signing Snodgrass in the summer of 2017.

Given the former Leeds star’s ability to create chances, put in excellent crosses, pace and the hunger to prove his detractors wrong in the Premier League, the West Ham ace would be a smart addition to the Newcastle team.
