Newcastle United are known to be on the look out for a new goalkeeper this summer.
Newcastle United have been left frustrated in their search for a new goalkeeper throughout the summer so far, but they could be rewarded for entering the race for Sporting Lisbon’s Rui Patricio.
According to the Daily Mirror, Watford are attempting to sign Patricio this summer – as the 29-year-old could be available.

Patricio has spent his entire career to date with Sporting, but could be intrigued by a new challenge this summer.
And, with Newcastle wanting a new stopper, Patricio could be the man to end Rafael Benitez’s search.
Newcastle have attempted to snap up both Willy Caballero and Pepe Reina this summer, but look set to fail in their bids to sign the pair.
And Patricio may be the best of the other options currently on the market.
Patricio has a wealth of top level experience, and is renowned as an excellent shot stopper.
The Portuguese international has made 62 caps for his country, and always impressed at international tournaments.
Patricio would be a serious upgrade on any of Newcastle’s current goalkeeping options, and if Benitez is serious abut trying to find a new number one, then he should put the Sporting man right at the top of his wishlist.
