Newcastle United should consider making move for Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi.

Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi is facing an uncertain future at the Spanish club, and could be sold in the summer.

The 21-year-old made a brilliant start to his Barcelona career when he first broke into the team, but now looks surplus to the requirements at the Catalan club.

He spent the last season on loan at Valencia, where he made 39 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.

According to reports from The Sun, any potential club can sign him permanently for around £10 million.

With Valencia failing to sign him permanently, his future still hangs in limbo. And that is why Newcastle should make a move for him.

Munir is a versatile young player who is capable of operating in both right and left, as well as playing as a front striker.

He is still young and could develop into a very good player under the tutelage of Rafa Benitez.

Given his age, even if he fails to make a mark at St James’ Park, Newcastle still would get a decent resale value.

What Munir needs is a change of scenario. Failing to cut his teeth in a star-studded Barcelona side doesn’t make him a bad player overnight.

Plus, Barcelona have gone through several managerial changes in recent years. New managers come with fresh ideas, and often home-grown talents are neglected.

Munir will get support of players like Ayoze Perez at Newcastle and as such won’t face a huge problem in settling down. He would be a good addition to the Magpies squad.
