Newcastle United should make a move for Liverpool’s Danny Ings this summer.

Danny Ings would surely make a better option for Newcastle United than Salomon Rondon this summer, especially as the two striker’s price-tags are similar.

Newcastle have been linked with a £16.5 million move for West Bromwich Albion forward Rondon recently in the Chronicle.

However, for just £3.5 million more they could reportedly take Ings off Liverpool’s hands – and the Chronicle have also suggested he is a forward who is on Newcastle’s radar.

The Sun claim that Liverpool want £20 million for Ings this summer, and he would surely be a better option for Newcastle.

Not only is Ings three years younger than Rondon, but he also the bigger goal threat.

Ings hit 11 goals in a Premier League season back in 2014/15, before injury struck, which is a higher total than Rondon has ever managed.

Ings also possesses more pace than Rondon, which means he could help Newcastle stretch defences.

And Benitez would be better off going after the Liverpool man than buying Rondon, as he searches for a striker this summer.
