Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has a good relationship with Fernando Torres.

Newcastle United should consider bringing in Fernando Torres in the summer, as his contract at Atletico Madrid is set to expire.
Torres could be available on a free at the end of the season, and is Rafael Benitez is known to be a huge fan of the forward.
Benitez got the very best out of Torres during their time together at Liverpool, and if he could repeat to trick at St. James’ Park, the Spanish forward would be a wonderful addition.

Torres is, of course, 33-years-old now and is reaching the twilight of his career.
But on a free transfer he could offer Newcastle a great deal of quality and experience.

Torres may not have the electric pace he once did, but he has a credible record of seven goals in 33 matches across all competitions this season.
And, considering Newcastle would not have to pay a transfer fee, he could present an attractive option to Benitez’s side.
