Newcastle United should consider bringing back West Ham United’s Andy Carroll this summer.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, West Ham United have decided to put Andy Carroll up for sale, which could make now the ideal time for Newcastle United to attempt to bring the target man back.

West Ham have grown frustrated with Carroll’s injury record since he arrived at the London Stadium, and feel that he should be moved on this summer.

Slaven Bilic is known to be a big fan of Carroll, but he wants more reliable options up-front.

And a return back to Newcastle could suit all parties involved in the deal.

Newcastle are known to be in the market for a new forward, and Carroll’s qualities are well known to those at St. James’ Park.

Carroll was a major threat during his first spell at Newcastle, before he departed for Liverpool.

Since then, the England international’s injury problems have worsened, but Newcastle could get the best out of the front man again.

When he is fit, there are few greater aerials threats in world football than Carroll.

And his potential partnership with Dwight Gayle at Newcastle would surely be a threat to defences across the Premier League.

And although Carroll’s poor fitness record is a concern, if Newcastle do want to bring the powerful forward back, now looks like the opportune time to do so.
