Newcastle United are said to be battling with Huddersfield Town for Derby County’s Tom Ince.

Huddersfield Town’s move for Izzy Brown could make now the perfect time for Newcastle United to swoop for Derby County’s Tom Ince.

Huddersfield and Newcastle are both said to be interested in signing Ince, but the Terriers appears to have their attention on bringing in Chelsea’s Izzy Brown currently (Telegraph).

Huddersfield are working on tying up a deal for Brown, but some complications exist.

Chelsea are pondering over whether to allow Brown to leave on a permanent transfer, or whether to send him out on loan again.

It is also unclear whether Huddersfield are trying to sign Brown as a priority over Ince, or if David Wagner wants the pair.

Either way, Newcastle now seem to have a clear run to snap up Ince – and they should take advantage of it.

Derby County appear to be willing to allow Ince to go for £10 million (Derby Telegraph), and Rafael Benitez is known to want to add creativity.

Ince is said to be on Benitez’s shortlist (Daily Mirror), with Newcastle keen to add to their squad this summer.

And Newcastle should act fast, to try and secure Ince’s signature, before the competition hots up later in the transfer window.
