Newcastle United are said to be keen to take Oliver Burke off West Bromwich Albion.

According to a report in the printed edition of The Sun (page 61, 14 October), Newcastle United are scouting Oliver Burke, but by signing him they would be showing a real lack of ambition.
Newcastle have failed to win a Premier League match this term, and are in dire need of additions in January.
The Magpies seriously need to improve the quality of their squad, but turning to Burke would scream of desperation.
The youngster may have a bright future, and be considered a genuine prospect, but Newcastle need players who can immediately impact on their first-team.

Burke surely wouldn’t be able to make much of an impression at St. James’ Park this season.
Burke has barely featured for West Brom over the past two campaigns.
The winger has only played once in the Championship so far this campaign.
And Newcastle fans would surely point to a lack of ambition, if they did spend money on Burke, with the team struggling so badly.
