Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Wilshere believes that his days at Arsenal are numbered, and that the midfielder is resigned to leaving the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window, which has reportedly boosted the Magpies’ chances of securing his services.

“Wilshere’s preference is to stay at Arsenal and he has dropped to the Under-23s in a bid to prove himself,” states the report in The Sun. “But he is coming round to the reality that his future lies elsewhere.”
West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are also interested in Wilshere, claims the report in The Sun.

Wilshere has been on the books of Arsenal his entire professional club football career so far, but the midfielder’s current contract with the Gunners runs out next summer.
This means that Newcastle would have to pay a relatively low transfer fee for the England international, but would the Magpies be able to afford his wages?
Moreover, given Wilshere’s injury record, should Newcastle, who won automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season, even consider signing the 25-year-old Englishman on a permanent contract even if they get him on the cheap?
