Leeds must move for Newcastle’s Ciaran Clark.

Newcastle United are reportedly considering selling defender Ciaran Clark, report The Chronicle.
The Toon are open to a sale if Florian Lejeune can prove his fitness.
It would be a questionable decision from the relegation threatened Premier League side, and Leeds United should seek to take full advantage.
Leeds’ defensive options are currently stretched thin, and they cannot afford an injury to Pontus Jansson or Liam Cooper as there are no credible back up options in the squad.
Clark would have a real claim to go straight into Leeds’ starting line up.

The 29-year-old was a promotion winner with Newcastle and would have no problem adapting to Championship football.
He made more than 150 appearances for Aston Villa and is one shy of 60 for Newcastle.
Clark is a Republic of Ireland international with more than 30 caps. His experience could be invaluable to a young Leeds side.
Newcastle paid £5 million to sign Clark in 2016. He could be even cheaper now.
There is likely to be a queue of Championship clubs showing interest, and Leeds should be making him a priority.
