With Newcastle United aiming to strengthen their grip on 3rd place in the Premier League, we have tried to call their predicted lineup against Brentford.

Off the back of their emphatic 5-1 thrashing of West Ham United, we expect Eddie Howe to make 2 changes to the side.

In between the sticks, Nick Pope, who has conceded the least number of goals in the league starts in our Newcastle predicted lineup against Brentford.

Another starter who is set to retain his place in the side is Kieran Trippier against the Bees.

Fabian Schar, who has been one of the division’s most in-form central defenders this season will also keep his place in the XI.

And the same goes for the Swiss defender’s exemplary partner-in-crime in Sven Botman in our Newcastle predicted lineup against Brentford.

At left-back, Dan Burn, who made it into Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Season for the Athletic is also expected to start for the Magpies once again.

As a majority of the Newcastle side that played against West Ham is likely to remain unchanged, Bruno Guimaraes, who may be his side’s best player this campaign is likely to start once again.

Alongside him, Sean Longstaff, who is having quite an underrated season individually is also likely to play from the off.

The first change could come in the form of Jacob Murphy being dropped for Joe Willock, who will occupy his usual left-sided attacking midfield role.

As a result, Joelinton could be pushed into the left-wing role against Brentford.

The second change could come with Callum Wilson, described by ‘powerful’ by Alan Shearer on the Premier League’s official website may be dropped despite scoring a brace against West Ham for first-choice No.9 Alexander Isak.

While Allan Saint-Maximin could be shifted to the right-wing, as there is almost no chance that he gets benched after brilliant back-to-back displays.
