That’s according to The Sun, who claim that the Red Devils have been inundated with offers to take Jones on loan in January.
Newcastle and Watford are thought to be the two Premier League clubs who want to sign Jones in January.
A raft of Championship clubs are keen too, with Wayne Rooney keen to take him to Derby County – but the Rams’ finances could scupper that.
Jones hasn’t played for United since January 2020 due to injury.
Now ramping up his return, Jones could head out in January to finally try and kickstart his career.
Do Newcastle need Jones?
Newcastle absolutely need to find defensive additions – nobody can deny that, with the Magpies needing strengthening at the back.

However, with the influx of cash from new owners PIF, Newcastle may need to aim a little higher.
Jones hasn’t played for nearly two years, so could Newcastle really hang their survival hopes on him staying fit?
That’s not to be harsh on Jones, but at £75,000-a-week, Newcastle may be able to spend their money a little wiser.
