Newcastle United, Everton and West Ham United have all been linked with Brentford’s Jota.

West Ham United, Newcastle United and Everton have all been linked with Brentford’s Jota recently (Sky Sports), but to complete the signing of the Spaniard they will have to change Dean Smith’s mind.
The Brentford boss was adamant that Jota would be at Griffin Park, when he was quizzed on the subject by Get West London back in April.

Smith said: “There are things going on but I can’t say much. Jota wants to stay, the option is in the club’s favour so as far as I’m concerned, Jota will be a Brentford player for next season.”
Brentford would have been bracing themselves for Premier League interest in Jota at the time, as his form had been so impressive.
The 25-year-old scored 12 goals and claimed five assists in 21 Championship appearances for the Bees over the past campaign.

And Newcastle’s, Everton’s and West Ham’s interest is hardly a surprise.
The Premier League trio are all looking to improve their squads this summer, and believe Jota could enhance the quality of their attack.
However, a deal is some way off, and unless Smith’s opinion changes – then Jota looks set to stay with Brentford next term.
