Newcastle United are said to be interested in signing CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

According to Aleksandr Golovin’s agent on Sports RU, Newcastle United are looking to sign the Russian from CSKA Moscow.

And if they do want to bring in the attacking midfielder, Newcastle should press ahead with the deal.

Golovin is said to be available for around £17.5 million at this moment in time, but if Newcastle wait that price-tag could rise significantly.

Golovin is set to play a starring role for Russia at the World Cup, when all eyes will be on him.

The hosts are sure to attract a lot of attention to their matches and if Golovin stars, as expected, the demand for his services will only increase.

If Newcastle wait they could see themselves priced out of the market for the 21-year-old.

However, if the Magpies act quickly they could rest assured that Golovin will be in their squad next season, and if he shines at the World Cup then excitement for his debut will only increase.
