Miguel Almiron is shining for Newcastle United and he has now been given a rather lofty comparison to Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
The Magpies just keep in rolling.
Saturday’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa made it three wins in a row and five wins in the last six.
Eddie Howe’s men are becoming very real contenders for European qualification and are now eight unbeaten.
It’s not all about money either as Howe has worked wonders in turning around some previously mocked Newcastle players.

Miguel Almiron is shining for Newcastle United
Joelinton was the first to benefit from Howe’s management having previously been the source of jokes.
Previously a striker, Joelinton has become a star in midfield and Howe is now turning Miguel Almiron around too.
The Paraguayan had only ever shown his qualities in fits and starts for Newcastle and managed just one Premier League goal in 30 games last season.
Out of nowhere, Almiron has become one of the most dangerous Premier League attackers.
The 28-year-old has racked up seven goals in just 13 games this term and is only two goals away from matching his tally in the rest of his Newcastle career.
It’s now six goals in six games for Almiron after finding the net against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Almiron collected a pass from Callum Wilson, cut inside from the right flank and bent a beautiful strike around Robin Olsen to make it 4-0.
Almiron looks unstoppable and is making a mockery of Jack Grealish with each passing goal.
Pundit Dion Dublin has now praised Almiron and even compared him to Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
Bernardo cost Manchester City around £43million back in 2017 and is now considered to be one of the Premier League’s top creative midfielders.
Dublin sees parallels between the two and Newcastle fans must be having a laugh that Almiron is now being compared to one of Grealish’s illustrious teammates.
“Almiron is very similar to Bernardo Silva who loves to get on his left-foot and tries to curl it into the top corner. He’s done it two or three times now. The style and confidence of the young lad is amazing,” said Dublin.
