Newcastle United want Azzedine Ounahi and the Angers midfielder has now been compared to Chelsea superstar N’Golo Kante by Martin Tyler.
Morocco have captured hearts worldwide after their stunning journey to the World Cup semi-finals.
A couple of players are bound to attract interest with Sofyan Amrabat already a wanted man in the Premier League.
Then there is Angers ace Ounahi, who now find himself wanted by Newcastle and many others clubs having been a relative unknown before the World Cup.
The 22-year-old has been sensational in Qatar with his energy and dribbling ability through midfield turning heads.
90Min claim that Newcastle are interested in signing Ounahi and are now rivalling a host of clubs in the race for his signature.
If Newcastle really are chasing Ounahi, they may be interested to hear Martin Tyler’s verdict on the midfielder.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Tyler noted that Leicester City are interested but thinks other teams should be interested too.
Tyler even suggested that Ounahi is a young N’Golo Kante just because of the energy he consistently provides from midfield.
“Premier League managers will be watching him,” said Tyler. “You could have got him for a snip before this World Cup. He plays for a team in France that are bottom of Ligue 1.”
“I understand Leicester are interested. There should be others interested as well. I could have watched him on his own, the energy and passing ability he brought to the team [against France]. He’s N’Golo Kante 10 years younger,” he added.

Newcastle could sign a real gem in Ounahi
That’s an exciting verdict for any interested club and Newcastle may well see similar quality and potential in Ounahi.
Any time targeting Ounahi likely wouldn’t use him exactly like Kante though.
Whilst Kante has been a defensive machine for years, Ounahi’s dribbling ability means he can be a much bigger force going forward.
It’s easy to imagine Bruno Guimaraes and Ounahi causing mayhem in midfield together for Newcastle
The amount of energy and ability on the ball between those two is enough to give other Premier League midfielders nightmares.
It will now be up to Newcastle to decide whether to make a January move for Ounahi, but they would certainly risk missing out if they don’t.
