Newcastle United have reportedly made a bid to sign M’Baye Niang
Newcastle United have been linked with making a loan move to sign striker M’Baye Niang.
The Frenchman currently plays for AC Milan but has been out of favour this season, making only three appearances.
Niang, 20, is coveted by a number of clubs, and is a raw yet still unproven talent who is comparable to Arsenal’s Yaya Sanogo.
Niang even had a trial with the Gunners while at Caen, before clinching a switch to AC Milan where he has played Champions League football but been inconsistent.
GianlucadiMarzio.com report Newcastle have made an offer to sign the forward on loan, but Milan would prefer a permanent move.
“Newcastle have officially asked for Niang on a loan deal. Milan have not said yet however because they want to sell the player.”
There has been interest also from Italian clubs including Udinese but if Niang has a say in his destination, he may elect to try his luck in a new league.
Newcastle’s interest is intriguing as they are currently without a manager, and until one is appointed, Niang may take some convincing to sign.
