Steve Bruce is thought to have significant funds to spend at Newcastle United.

Newcastle United would actually be left with a hugely impressive defence, if Steve Bruce’s reportedly planned double swoop comes off.
Newcastle are said to be interested in snapping up two full-backs this summer, as Bruce looks to make improvements.
The Daily Star claim that Newcastle want to sign Danny Rose, while RMC Sport suggested that Djibril Sidibe is on the Magpies’ wishlist.
While there is some scepticism over the reports currently, if the pair do join then Newcastle could have one of the best backlines outside the top six.
Rose is still one of the best left-backs in the Premier League, with many at Tottenham surprised over Mauricio Pochettino’s willingness to sell.
He would be a major upgrade on Paul Dummett who, despite being a solid defender, does not possess anywhere near the same attacking threat as Rose.
Sidibe could also be an appealing addition at St. James’ Park, as the Frenchman has previously looked so impressive in Ligue 1.

If Newcastle could get Sidibe back to his best form, they would have a destructive presence down their right flank.
With Newcastle already have Fabian Schar and Jamaal Lascelles at the club, and Martin Dubravka in goal, those areas are very well covered.
And Bruce could have a very solid foundation to build upon at Newcastle, if he completes his reportedly planned double swoop this summer.
