Newcastle United may have to pay as much as £50 million to sign Sven Botman from Lille in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports have reported that Newcastle and AC Milan are interested in signing Botman from Lille this month.
The defending French champions valued the 21-year-old central defender at more than £27 million in the summer of 2021 and do not want to sell the Dutchman now.
The report has added that Lille could ask for £50 million to sell Botman in January.
Joelinton is Newcastle’s club-record signing at £40m, which means that Botman could become a new record arrival at Newcastle if they have to pay £50m.
