Newcastle United are eyeing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin amid long-standing interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is back on the radar at Newcastle United despite his well-publicised injury problems at Everton.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Newcastle are looking at Calvert-Lewin’s situation ahead of 2024.
The striker has been through injury hell in recent years, picking up problem after problem in an Everton shirt.
Calvert-Lewin has started just 15 games in each of the last two season and is looking to finally put those issues behind him this season.

On his day and when fully fit, Calvert-Lewin clearly has top quality; we saw that with a superb goal against West Ham United last month.
Calvert-Lewin’s quality is recognised elsewhere with TEAMtalk now claiming that Newcastle United are keen.
It’s suggested that Newcastle would like to add another striker to support Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
Calvert-Lewin is one option given that he is now approaching the final 18 months of his contract.
Everton have now been hit with a 10-point deduction and may need to make a big sale or two in the near future.
Calvert-Lewin could be that player, but the report adds that Arsenal are alongside Newcastle in terms of their long-term admiration of the striker.
Alan Shearer has shared mixed views on Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin would provide something different to the Newcastle attack in terms of a dangerous aerial threat from crosses.

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has previously offered mixed views on Calvert-Lewin, first telling The Athletic in 2020 that he felt the Everton man was on the way to becoming an ‘excellent’ striker.
Injuries and a lack of goals last season changed that view though with Shearer branding his record ‘embarrassing’ in a difficult campaign.
Shearer can no doubt see the potential Calvert-Lewin possesses when fully fit and would surely support a move to Newcastle in 2024 – if Everton are willing to sell.
