Newcastle United are now being tipped as a potential destination for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in 2024.
Aaron Ramsdale may be an option for Newcastle United amid history with Magpies boss Eddie Howe.
That is according to TalkSPORT, who claim that Ramsdale could leave Arsenal in 2024 after losing his place.
Ramsdale was a mainstay of the Arsenal side last season but was dropped in September as Mikel Arteta replaced him with David Raya.
Ramsdale is now being limited to cup appearances and that means he may be tempted to leave the club.
Newcastle tipped as Aaron Ramsdale suitor
TalkSPORT now claim that Newcastle are a ‘potential escape route’ for Ramsdale at the end of the season.
Chelsea are understood to be keen, but believe that a £50million January deal will be too difficult to pull off.
Chelsea would be willing to wait until the summer with Ramsdale keen to keep battling for his Arsenal future.
Newcastle are now mentioned as well though with Nick Pope coming in for criticism.
Pope has never been the best goalkeeper with his feet but some suspect goalkeeping against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week may mean another goalkeeper is considered next summer.

Eddie Howe knows Ramsdale well
Newcastle being linked may be a case of putting two and two together because of Ramsdale’s history with Eddie Howe.
Ramsdale played under Howe at Bournemouth with the Newcastle boss giving him his Premier League debut.
Howe has been a big fan of Ramsdale in the past, telling TalkSPORT in 2020 that he thinks Ramsdale is an ‘exceptional’ goalkeeper.
That admiration will surely still be in place with Ramsdale developing into a better goalkeeper since his Bournemouth days.
We can’t imagine Ramsdale being a top priority for Newcastle but Pope may just need to put his game a little for the rumours to go away.
