Former Newcastle United and Hull City midfielder Mohamed Diame has been offered to Steve Bruce at West Bromwich Albion, according to TEAMtalk.

Bruce, a former Newcastle and Hull manager, was recently appointed as the new boss of Championship club West Brom.

TEAMtalk have reported that Diame is among the players who has been offered to Bruce.

Former Huddersfield Town winger Isaac Mbenza has also been offered to West Brom.

Bruce signed Diame when he was at Hull.

The 34-year-old Senegalese midfielder is now a free agent following his departure from Qatari club Al Ahli.

Mohamed Diame would make West Brom better

In our view, Diame would make West Brom a better team and would enhance their chances of winning promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

West Brom are sixth in the Championship table at the moment with 45 points from 29 matches.

Diame, who was released by Newcastle at the end of the 2018-19 season, knows the Championship well and would be able to make an immediate impact at The Hawthorns.

Bruce said that he would have tried his best to keep Diame at Newcastle had he been in charge of the Magpies at the time, as quoted in 90min.

It shows just how highly Bruce rates Diame.
