Jason Tindall was spotted alongside Eddie Howe watching Newcastle United on Saturday night – despite claims he can’t agree a deal with the Magpies.

Howe is all set to become Newcastle boss and sat alongside director Amanda Staveley for the 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, the deal isn’t done yet – and there is thought to be a hold-up over the situation surrounding Howe’s long-time assistant Tindall.

90Min claim that Howe has told Newcastle that he simply won’t take the job without having Tindall on board too.

They also state that Tindall has rejected Newcastle’s first offer, with the numbers described as being ‘way off’ what Tindall wants.

There may have been plenty of negotiations last night and more to come today.

After all, Tindall being sat watching Newcastle is a pretty big indication that he will be joining Howe there soon enough.

Who is potential Newcastle assistant Jason Tindall?

Tindall, 43, spent most of his career with Bournemouth, playing with and under Howe at the Vitality Stadium.

In 2020, Tindall was named as Howe’s replacement at Bournemouth having spent more than 10 years as his assistant – even heading to Burnley together in 2011.

Tindall didn’t even last six months as Bournemouth boss, winning 13 of his 31 games in charge whilst drawing 10 and losing eight.

Tindall headed to Sheffield United to help Paul Heckingbottom in March of this year, but now looks set to reunite with Howe at Newcastle – if they come back with a better offer.
