Newcastle United are interested in making Willy Caballero their new number one stopper for the upcoming campaign.

According to a report in The Times, Newcastle United have submitted an offer for Willy Caballero, but he is stalling over whether to accept it.
The Argentine stopper is set to become a free agent, when his contract at Manchester City expires.

And Newcastle are keen to offer the goalkeeper a new home in England.
Caballero, though, is said to be eager to move to Chelsea – with Antonio Conte’s side thought to be interested.
But it is hard to think Caballero is making the right choice by moving to Stamford Bridge, unless he is happy sitting on the bench.

Caballero simply won’t play for Chelsea in the Premier League, as he has no chance of dislodging the brilliant Thibaut Courtiois.
However, if the former Malaga man was to move to Newcastle it is likely he would be instated as number one straight away.
And a move to St. James’ Park would, therefore, surely be better for Caballero’s career.
