Garang Kuol is joining Newcastle United in January and he has Magpies fans on his mind despite being at the World Cup in Qatar.
Australia opened their World Cup campaign against reigning champions France on Wednesday night.
Few were giving Australia any sort of chance but Craig Goodwin’s opener stunned France and gave hope to the Socceroos.
France took over in the end though with Olivier Giroud bagging a brace whilst Kylian Mbappe and Adrien Rabiot also got on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win.

Garang Kuol reacts to Newcastle messages
There was a great moment for Australia in the second half though as they were able to bring on Garang Kuol from the bench.
Kuol, 18, has burst onto the scene in Australia.
The teenager has emerged at Central Coast Mariners and already has six goals and three assists in 14 first-team games.
Kuol has been so good that Australia boss Graham Arnold just couldn’t ignore him and put him on the plane to Qatar.
Sure enough, with Australia down and out, Arnold threw Kuol on in the hope of finding a route back into the game.
That didn’t really happen but still, what a moment for a teenager who probably couldn’t have dreamed of playing at the World Cup 18 months ago.
When January comes around, Kuol will become a Newcastle United player having agreed to join the Magpies in September.
Kuol will be loaned out due to work permit reasons but Newcastle appear to have an enormous talent on their hands.
Kuol immediately put himself in the good books with Newcastle fans having watched the win over Fulham in October from the away end.
The teenager still has Newcastle on his mind and has pointed out to The Athletic’s David Ornstein that he would like Magpies fans to see the black and white trainers he is wearing around Qatar.
Kuol is donning the Newcastle colours ahead of his move and has also reacted to receiving so many messages from Magpies fans who just can’t wait to see him in action.
