Newcastle United have snapped up Garang Kuol and he may see himself as becoming the Magpies’ very own version of Sadio Mane.

The Magpies are a major player in the transfer market now having secured a big takeover last year.

Yet whilst big-money deals are regularly speculated, Newcastle are also looking to sign young players for the future.

Summer deals for Jude Smith, Charlie McArthur, Alex Murphy and Jordan Hackett proved that, and the Magpies have secured an even more exciting talent.

Garang Kuol could be Newcastle’s Sadio Mane

Newcastle pounced at the end of September to secure a deal for Australian talent Garang Kuol.

The Central Coast Mariners teenager had shown enormous potential after breaking into Nick Montgomery’s first team.

Kuol, 19, has only played 14 times for Central Coast Mariners but has already bagged six goals and three assists.

Not only has Kuol already got his Newcastle move lined up for January, but he has now done enough to earn a spot in Australia’s World Cup squad.

The sky appears to be the limit for Kuol and Newcastle will be delighted that they already have him secured for the future.

The Athletic now note that whilst Kuol has earned comparisons to Kylian Mbappe and Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin, Kuol himself actually thinks he’s more similar to Sadio Mane.

It’s even claimed that Kuol has been studying Mane’s game for years now in an attempt to replicate the Senegalese superstar’s success.

Mane racked up 90 goals in 196 Premier League games for Liverpool before leaving for Bayern Munich over the summer.

Now shining with Bayern over in Germany, Mane has been one of the top forwards of the last six years.

Reaching Mane’s level would make Kuol an absolute star, but he has a long, long way to go before he is anywhere near that.

The dream for Newcastle is that they have signed their very own Mane for a fraction of the price Liverpool paid in 2016 – and if he gets even close, expect the goals to flow.
