Jason Cummings has praised Garang Kuol amid claims that the Central Coast Mariners star is signing for Newcastle United very soon.
Kuol is enjoying quite the week.
The speedy forward turns 18 today and his birthday has been boosted by a first call-up to the Australia senior squad.
Kuol is now in contention for a World Cup spot later this year – and his week is seemingly getting even better.
beIN Sports in Australia report that Kuol has agreed a deal to join Newcastle United with a four-year deal worth £25,000-a-week allegedly done.

Newcastle are taking a look towards the future and they see Kuol as being a big part of that.
The Central Coast Mariners teenager has already bagged four goals in just nine senior games over in Australia.
Backed for a huge future, Kuol is now seemingly Newcastle-bound – but will be loaned out once his January move goes through.
Kuol doesn’t quite qualify for a work permit in England right now but Australia call-ups and a World Cup spot would certainly help.
Kuol has come in for huge praise from Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez and his Central Coast Mariners manager Nick Montgomery.
Now, it’s Central Coast Mariners teammate Jason Cummings heaping praise on the teenage attacker.
Cummings has joined Kuol in the Australia squad having impressed together with the Mariners.
Cummings has now told the Socceroos official website that he thinks Kuol was ‘unbelievable’ when given a chance to shine for the A-League All-Stars against Barcelona earlier this year.
The former Rangers striker added that Kuol is already a ‘big game player’ at such a young age, suggesting that his future is ‘really exciting’.
“They (fans) should be really excited,” said Cummings. “Just turning 18 tomorrow, he’s a great lad as well off the pitch which makes him an even better player. We all saw him at the All Stars (game against FC Barcelona) and he came on and he was unbelievable that night as well.”
“Last season he was a big player for us, coming off the bench and scoring some big goals. “He’s a big game player, especially for a young lad so he’s got plenty of years to come as well, which is really exciting,” he added.
Newcastle appear to be on the verge of signing Kuol and with the plaudits raining in for the teenager, it looks like the Magpies have secured a real coup.
