Newcastle United have signed Garang Kuol and the Australian was in with the away fans as the Magpies beat Fulham 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpies enjoyed a perfect return from the international break with a thumping win at Craven Cottage.

Nathaniel Chalobah’s early red card certainly helped Newcastle but they still had to take full advantage.

Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Sean Longstaff did just that as Newcastle were 3-0 up at half-time before Almiron added a fourth.

Bobby Decordova-Reid’s late goal took the shine off a little as Newcastle squandered a clean sheet, but you can’t turn your nose up at a 4-1 away win.

Newcastle United have signed Garang Kuol

We all know how Newcastle fans travel; there is plenty of them and they make a lot of noise.

Saturday was no different as the Toon Army headed to West London in their thousands and cheered the Magpies onto victory.

There was one surprise face in the away end though as Newcastle’s new signing Garang Kuol mixed it with the travelling fanbase.

The photo above shows Kuol with the Newcastle fans as he introduced himself to his new supporters.

Kuol, 18, has completed a deal with Newcastle and will officially become a Magpies player in January 2023.

The Central Coast Mariners wonderkid has built up quite the reputation for himself Down Under and has already earned his first Australia cap.

Now seemingly in line to play at the World Cup next month, Kuol has dazzled with his pace and trickery in the final third.

Newcastle have made sure to get a deal done before the World Cup and can now look forward to seeing Kuol develop over the coming years.

Kuol doesn’t yet have a work permit to play in England so will be heading out on loan in January, meaning this afternoon alongside the Newcastle fans will likely be a one-off.

Yet it’s great for Newcastle fans to see their new signing up close and personal, helping strengthen that connection between fans and players.

With a 4-1 win and a raucous fanbase, Kuol has to have been impressed with what he experienced on Saturday.
